KIRKENESKONFERANSEN

The Kirkeneskonferansen is held every year at Thon Hotel Kirkenes. The first conference was arranged in 2008. Over the years it has become one of the most important venues for all people who are interested in high north policies and discussions concerning the development of the Barents region.

Kirkeneskonferansen aims at highlighting various aspects of the development in the north, regarding politics, business development and social development.

English/Norwegian translation at the conference

We provide simultaneous interpretation for all speakers and presentations at the Kirkenes Conference. We have interpraters for English/Norwegian- Norwegian/English interpretation.

Welcome to the Kirkenes Conference.

The Kirkenes conference was held the 21st and 22nd of February 2024. As always international relations in the far north is an important part of the agenda and there will be Norwegian-English translation at the Conference.

Med fiskeri- og havminister Cecilie Myrseth, partileder i Høyre Erna Solberg, partileder i Sosialistisk Venstreparti Kirsti Bergstø, partileder i Rødt Marie Sneve Martinussen og 1. nestleder i Frp Hans Andreas Limi hadde vi landet et meget sterkt panel til å diskutere utvikling i nordområdene.

Statsråd Cecilie Myrseth hadde vært i Kirkenes mange ganger, men for Kirkeneskonferansen 2024 kom hun for første gang som Norges fiskeri- og havminister.
